The fledgling Penticton Neighbourhood Association is looking for new energy and ideas at its upcoming annual general meeting.
The group, which launched in early 2023 and has non-profit status, is hosting its second AGM this coming Sunday, Jan. 7, 1:30-4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge.
“Attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas for actions and initiatives the PNA can take in the upcoming year. It’s hoped that new members will also considering joining the PNA leadership team,” said Nicolas Stulberg, the group’s president, in a press release.
“Not only is this a great opportunity to meet others looking to make Penticton a better place, but it also allows community members of all ages to meet their neighbours in a friendly, welcoming setting.”
The group launched with seven neighbourhood “captains” to cover the city, and its first big event was a clothing swap.
The AGM is open to the public and a video live-stream will be available upon request. For more information, email info@ourneighbourhood.ca or check out the PNA on Facebook.
